Ingredients of soya kheema recipe
Squeeze out all the extra water from Soya Chunks and transfer them to a mixer jar.
Pulse 2-3 times in the grinder to mince it coarsely
Heat a Kadhai and add 2 tbsp of Oil and 1 tbsp of Desi Ghee.
Add some Cumin Seeds and whole spices for flavour.
Then goes in green chillies, ginger and Garlic paste and Saute them until aromatic.
Add finely chopped onions and fry them until dark golden brown.
Now add the tomato puree and let it cook until the Oil separates.
Add all the dry masala and saute it until aromatic.
Then goes in the Kasuri Methi and Chopped coriander leaves.
Add the required water to get a saucy consistency (using the Soya soaked water)
Now goes in the minced Soya.
Please ensure that the mixture is thoroughly combined.
Add water as required to get a saucy consistency, and let it boil.
Add chopped coriander leaves, cover it with a lid, and cook for 10-15 min on low flame.
Check after 15 mins
Soya is cooked well, Oil has separated, and the gravy is ready.
Finally, add 1 tbsp ghee/ butter (optional)
Garnish it with green chillies, ginger juliennes & coriander leaves.
