Ingredients of sweet pongal
In a cooker, add 1 tbsp ghee, soaked rice and moong dal, and toss for a minute.
Now add 4-5 cups of water and a pinch of salt.
Close the lid and cook for 5-6 whistles.
In a pan, add jaggery and1 cup water and melt it entirely on medium flame.
Now you can see jaggery is fully melted.
Check the cooker and transfer the cooked Rice & Dal to a bottom vessel
Strain and add the jaggery water to the cooked rice and dal
Mix it very well to remove all lumps.
Now add 1/2 Cup Milk and mix it thoroughly
Add Cardamom powder and mix it well
Mix Cardamom powder well.
Let it boil, and then turn off the flame
Take another pan and add 3-4 tbsp of ghee and roast the cashews, raisins and grated coconut.
Pour it on the sweet pongal.
Mix it well
Healthy and Delicious sweet Pongal is ready to serve!!!
