Equipment

  • 1 Strainer
  • 1 bottom vessel
  • 1 Mixer Grinder

Ingredients
  

  • 400 grams Poha (thin)/ Rice Flakes
  • Some Curry leaves
  • 1/2 cup Roasted Chana Dal
  • 1 Cup Peanuts
  • Some Raisins
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • Salt as per taste

Instructions

  • Heat Oil in a Bottom Pan.
  • Lower the flame once the oil is heated, and add poha for frying.
  • Poha is Fried instantly; now Turn Off the heat and Drain the poha.
  • Remove them in a strainer to strain access oil.
  • In some oil, Fry the Peanuts until Crisp and Golden brown on Low Flame.
  • Fry the Roasted chana dal for 2-3 mins and keep it aside.
  • Now fry raisins and keep them aside.
  • Lastly, fry the curry leaves until it turns Crispy.
  • To make Chivda Masala, combine sugar, salt, turmeric, and chilli powder in a jar and blend until it forms a fine powder.
  • Chivda/ Masala is ready.
  • Add the fried ingredients along with the fried poha.
  • Give a good mix.
  • Next, add the chivda mixture masala to the ingredients and mix thoroughly. The dish is now ready to be served!
