How to make soya keema at home?
Soya Kheema Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Mixer Grinder
- 1 Kadhai
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Soya Chunks Soaked in hot water for 2 hours
- 3 No Tomatoes Pureed
- 3 No Finely chopped onions
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- Ginger Julliennes
- 3 No Green Chillies chopped
- 1/2 tsp – Turmeric Powder
- Coriander Leaves Chopped
- Kasuri Methi
- 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Chicken/Meat Masala/Garam Masala
- 1/2 tbsp Chaat Masala
- 1/2 tbsp Cumin Powder
- Salt as per taste
- Oil for Cooking
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- some Whole Spices
Instructions
- Ingredients of soya kheema recipe
- Squeeze out all the extra water from Soya Chunks and transfer them to a mixer jar.
- Pulse 2-3 times in the grinder to mince it coarsely
- Heat a Kadhai and add 2 tbsp of Oil and 1 tbsp of Desi Ghee.
- Add some Cumin Seeds and whole spices for flavour.
- Then goes in green chillies, ginger and Garlic paste and Saute them until aromatic.
- Add finely chopped onions and fry them until dark golden brown.
- Now add the tomato puree and let it cook until the Oil separates.
- Add all the dry masala and saute it until aromatic.
- Then goes in the Kasuri Methi and Chopped coriander leaves.
- Add the required water to get a saucy consistency (using the Soya soaked water)
- Now goes in the minced Soya.
- Please ensure that the mixture is thoroughly combined.
- Add water as required to get a saucy consistency, and let it boil.
- Add chopped coriander leaves, cover it with a lid, and cook for 10-15 min on low flame.
- Check after 15 mins
- Soya is cooked well, Oil has separated, and the gravy is ready.
- Finally, add 1 tbsp ghee/ butter (optional)
- Garnish it with green chillies, ginger juliennes & coriander leaves.
- The delicious soya kheema recipe is ready; You can enjoy this with Pav/ Bread/ Roti,/ Parathas.
