How to make Chicken Tikka Recipe at home?
Chicken Tikka Recipe | Chicken Tikka without Grill/Tandoor/Oven.

- Non Stick Frying Pan
- Skewer Sticks – Wooden/Metal
Ingredients
- 500 grams Boneless Chicken Pieces Cut in Cubes
- ½ Cup Curd
- 2 tbsp Gram Flour/Besan Roasted
- 4-5 tbsp Oil
- 1 Lemon
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder
- ½ tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- ½ tsp Chat Masala
- ½ tsp Cumin Seed Powder
- ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Kasuri Methi
- 7-8 Nos Skewer Sticks

- 8-10 Skewer sticks – wooden/ metal
- There are two marination process while making Chicken tikka. Lets start with the first marinationMarination 1 – Marinate the chicken pieces with 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder, Turmeric , Salt and Lemon Juice
- Mix all the ingredient together with the chicken pieces and
- Marinate it for 15-20 mins
- Now lets start the second Marination ProcessTake a mixing bowl – Add Curd, 1/2 tbsp Kashmiri Chilly Powder, Garam Masala and Cumin Powder
- Now add 2 tbsp Oil , 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, and crushed kasuri methi
- Then we will add 2 tbsp roasted gram flour, just roast it on a pan with the lowest flame until aromatic and salt as per taste (we have already added salt during first marination so we need very little salt for second marination)
- Mix all the ingredients well, use a whisker or a fork so there are no lumps in the marination since we have added curd and gram flour in it.
- Now add the marinated chicken in the second Marination
- Mix them together very well, use your hands to mix it together so the chicken is well coated in the Marination
- Marinate this for another 30-45 mins , you may marinate it for longer if you have time
- After 45 mins add some chat masala and mix it together, also check the seasoning and add some salt is required
- Mix them together very well
- Take one skewer stick, Pierce in 2-3 pieces of marinated chicken pieces, If you are using metal one then you can pierce in 5-6 piece in one stick
- Do this for all the marinated chicken pieces
- Now lets roast it on naked flame for 1 minute, Turn on the gas stove and place each stick and keep rotating over the naked flame to get a burnt look
- Heat a frying pan , add about 1-2 tbsp Oil/GheeFry each sticks for about 4-5 mins or until done/cooked on low flame
- Turn it on other sides occasionally to cook from all sides and fry them on low flame
- Chicken tikka is ready to be served with green chutney and onion rings

Notes
- There are two marination process in this recipe, The more you marinate the more tastier it will be. You may even marinate overnight for extra taste
- Marination makes the chicken tender, soft and juicy and all the flavours are soaked in the chicken well
- Gram flour needs to be roasted on a lowest flame stirring continuously until aromatic
- If you have Chula at home or a barbeque you can roast or cook these pieces over them
- For those who dont have a chula, oven or a barbeque they can roast it on the gas stove.
- If you brush some butter or ghee on the chicken pieces while roasting it enhance the taste and flavour.
