Instructions
- First, remove the skin by pulling it off.
- Pull the head out gently; an ink sac is inside the body; ensure it is not broken while removing the head (if it breaks, it will spread a bitter taste). We will be using the head and tentacles, so keep this aside.
- Remove the cuttlebone as shown below.
- Please ensure that you thoroughly clean the interior and remove all waste.
- You can cut them into rings or squares, depending on your preference.
- Take the head & Tentacles and discard the tip of the tentacles
- To remove the ink sac from the head, first, remove the innards and make sure to discard them properly.
- To remove the beak under the tentacles, press it as demonstrated and then take it out.
- To fully enjoy the flavour of squid, we must clean the remaining portions, particularly the head and tentacles, known to be the tastiest parts.
